# Test a store app

During the app development and testing phase, due to frequent configuration changes, developers continuously submit new versions for review. Open platform and tenant admins also have to review them frequently, severely affecting work efficiency. To meet the frequent configuration changes during the development and testing phase, the Feishu Open Platform provides the **Test Comapnies and Users** function.

* **Testing Comapnies**: These are companies created within the developer console for app testing. Installing an app in a test company does not require any reviews. Once installed, any changes made to the test version of the app will take effect immediately without the need for submission or review, and relevant permissions will be granted directly.

* **Testing Users**: Members within the test company.

## Create a test company

Log into the [Developer console](https://open.feishu.cn/app?), click on a specific application, enter the application details page, select **Testing Enterprise and Personnel** on the left navigation bar. Click **Create Testing Enterprise** in the upper right corner, enter the enterprise name, mobile phone number, and verification code to create a successful testing enterprise.

Log into the [Developer Console](https://open.feishu.cn/app?), click on a specific application to access the application details page, and select **Test Comapnies and Users** from the left navigation menu. Click **Create Test Company** in the top right corner, enter the company name, phone number, and verification code, and then click **Confirm**.
Each developer can create up to 3 test comapnies.

## Add testers

After creating the test company, you will see it in the test companies list. Click **Add Tester** on the right to add the users.
A maximum of 100 testers can be added to each test company.

If prompted with "This account does not exist in your company." the account you entered is not the Feishu account of a member in your enterprise. You may have seen an email or mobile phone number in a colleague's personal business card, but it is not their Feishu account. You can contact the corresponding person to confirm the account. The way to confirm the Feishu account is to go to **Feishu Desktop Client > Settings > Account and Security** to view your own Feishu account.

## Install into the test company

After installing the app into the testing company, you can start testing your app. Any changes made within the testing version, including app information, versions, permissions, or event subscriptions, will be synced directly to the test company without requiring review.warning
The same app can only be installed in one test company at a time. If you choose different test companies in subsequent versions, although the test app will not be removed from your previous test company, changes to the test app version will only be synced to the most recently installed test company.

For example, you installed the app into test company A with version 1.0.0, then switch to test company B for a later version. You can still see the app in test company A, but any changes made to the app will only synchronize with test company B.

### Method one: test within Feishu

After joining the test company, click the avatar in the upper left corner of the Feishu client. You can see the organizations you have joined on the left side of the pop-up. Click on the corresponding test company to switch and test the app within the test company.

### Method two: test within the Admin Console

If your application has an app management console, you can test it by opening the app management console in the Feishu Admin Console. 

Open a private wndow in your browser, go to [Feishu Admin Console](https://www.feishu.cn/admin), select the test company from the company list, and you can access the Feishu Admin Console for the test company. Here, you can perform tests related to app management.
Please make sure to use a private window to open the [Feishu Admin Console](https://www.feishu.cn/admin), otherwise, the browser will directly detect your current Feishu login status and open the admin console for your current company. If you don't have permissions within the current company, you will see a permission error message.

## Disband the test company

After completing the app testing, you can choose to disband the test company.

Log into the Admin Console of the test company, enter **Settings > Organization Info** module, and click **Disband Organization**.
The operation of disbanding the company will take effect after 72 hours.

## FAQs

### Why aren't the modifications I made to the application syncing to the test company?

A: On the testing version's details page, click on "Change Test Company" to confirm if the app is installed in the intended test company. If it's confirmed to be installed and not syncing, you can contact us by clicking on the customer support option in the lower right corner of the developer console.

### I added a colleague to my test company, but why can't they switch to the corresponding test company within Feishu?

A: Please confirm whether the email/phone number you added is their Feishu account. The email or phone number you see on a colleague's personal business card does not necessarily mean it's their Feishu account. In this case, contact your colleague again to confirm their account. To verify a Feishu account, go to **Feishu Desktop Client> Settings> Privacy Settings**, where users can view their Feishu account.

### I opened the [Feishu Admin Console](https://www.feishu.cn/admin) to test the app management, why do I get a permission error?

A: Please make sure you are using a Private Window to open the Feishu Admin Console. Otherwise, the browser will directly detect your current Feishu login status and open the admin console for your current company. If you do not have permissions in this company, the prompt of "no permission" will be displayed.
