# Step 4: Start local service

In this step, you will run the sample code provided in the tutorial. The sample code requires Node.js to be installed locally..

## Procedure

1. Run the following command to enter the `message-card` folder.

```
     cd message-card
     ```

2. Run the following command to install project dependencies.

```
     npm install
     ```

3. After the dependency installation is successful, run the following command to start the local service.

```
     node index.js
     ```
